From July 28 to 30, the 15th National X-ray Diffraction and New Materials Academic Conference and the International Diffraction Data Center Seminar were successfully held in Changsha, Hunan. The seminar was hosted by the X-ray Diffraction Professional Committee of the Chinese Physical Society, the Powder Diffraction Professional Committee of the Chinese Crystallographic Society, the Beijing Silicate Society, the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the International Centre for Diffraction Data (USA), and was hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Powder Metallurgy of Central South University, the Key Laboratory of Nonferrous Metal Materials Science and Engineering of the Ministry of Education of Central South University, and the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Central South University. The seminar attracted more than 300 experts and scholars from materials science, physics and related fields at home and abroad to discuss the latest progress of X-ray diffraction technology and its application in the research and development of new materials.

         During the conference report session, Qin Liang, founder of Suchild Technology, analyzed the market size and repair and maintenance methods of scientific research instruments in China, and gave a keynote speech on "The Practice and Thinking of Repair and Maintenance of Public Instrument Platforms in Universities", which aroused great interest among the participants and created a strong academic atmosphere on site.
