On April 24, 2023, the inaugural meeting of the Research Instrument Repair and Maintenance Professional Committee of the Zhongguancun National Basic Conditions Science and Technology Resource Sharing Service Innovation Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Research Instrument Repair and Maintenance Professional Committee) was held in Beijing. Su Jing, director of the National Science and Technology Infrastructure Platform Center, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Academician Yu Guirui, chairman of the Zhongguancun National Basic Conditions Science and Technology Resource Sharing Service Innovation Alliance, Cao Ning, deputy director of the Conditions Guarantee and Finance Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, responsible comrades from the Basic Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Science and Technology Infrastructure Platform Center, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and the Zhongguancun Management Committee, as well as representatives of the member units of the Research Instrument Repair and Maintenance Professional Committee and representatives of the alliance member units attended the meeting.

At the founding conference, Academician Yu Guirui read out the Alliance Council's "Resolution on Approving the Establishment of a Professional Committee for the Repair and Maintenance of Scientific Research Instruments". The preparatory group reported on the preparations for the establishment of the Professional Committee for the Repair and Maintenance of Scientific Research Instruments, and introduced the key directions and annual work plans for the repair and maintenance of scientific research instruments.

In his speech, Director Su Jing emphasized that strengthening the construction of the scientific research instrument maintenance system and ensuring the efficient operation of domestic scientific research instruments are of great significance to improving the overall efficiency of the national innovation system and helping to achieve high-level scientific and technological self-reliance. The Scientific Research Instrument Maintenance Committee should further improve its political position, actively serve the overall situation of scientific and technological work, actively carry out scientific research instrument maintenance work, and enhance the ability to ensure the operation of instruments; innovate service models, give play to the role of market mechanisms, fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the instrument maintenance teams of colleges and universities and third-party instrument maintenance companies, and improve the quality and efficiency of maintenance services; strengthen the organic connection with the independent innovation of scientific research instruments, promote the training of experimental technical talents and instrument development and maintenance talents, and help the development of instruments and key core components and the application and promotion of domestic instruments.

Zhongguancun National Basic Conditions Science and Technology Resource Sharing Service Innovation Alliance is a non-profit social group jointly initiated by the Institute of Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and other units under the guidance of the National Science and Technology Basic Conditions Platform Center. The first batch of member units of the Alliance's Scientific Research Instrument Repair and Maintenance Committee include 31 universities, institutes and enterprises such as the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Scientific Research Instrument Repair and Maintenance Committee will focus on strengthening the construction of the scientific research instrument repair and maintenance service system, organize and carry out instrument repair and maintenance supply and demand docking, instrument repair and maintenance sharing service platform construction, instrument repair and maintenance standard development and other work, and actively explore and practice to improve my country's scientific research instrument operation guarantee capabilities.
